Interact with Tact and Professionalism

Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what to say, said the wrong thing, or tried to make a point that came across poorly?  Then you understand the stress, confusion, and wasted productivity miscommunication can cause.  In this class we will explore common communication pitfalls, discover the five elements of the Communication Loop to lessen misunderstandings and develop goals improving communication individually and within your team.

Manage for Maximum Performance

The role of managing has shifted dramatically in recent years. Today, managers must be partners with their people; they can no longer lead from positional authority alone. This class develops the leadership skills needed to motivate and manage employees’ performance within a changing and challenging work environment. You will discover a practical framework for developing people, assuring results, and increasing productivity.

Build High Performance Teams

Have you ever been part of an ineffective or dysfunctional team? Or part of a team that can’t seem to move forward to accomplish the goal or objective? With all the challenges we face each day, it’s more important than ever that your team be cohesive, motivated, and effective. In this class we will identify your team player style, assess your current strengths, and create a plan for increasing your effectiveness as a team.

Communication Skills to Motivate Part 1

Do we ever hear things in a way that might not have been intended but makes sense to us? Do we judge a person’s behavior based on our own filters and perceptions? These misreads can negatively impact our team’s performance and cause conflict. In this class we will learn to effectively and accurately understand the motives behind behavior. When we understand motivation, we enhance our ability to communicate effectively and handle conflict more productively.

Communication Skills to Motivate Part 2

One of the primary responsibilities of a team leader and manager is to create the conditions that help generate excitement, energy, and commitment. Team members can be disengaged from their work if they don’t feel understood or a connection with the organization.  The purpose of this class is to further build our skill in understanding motivation, communicating effectively with our team and clients, and mitigating conflict so that our teams remain productive and forward moving.

Turn Conflict into Productivity (Including Emotional Intelligence)

All organizations experience conflict. The best organizations surface the challenges and manage them effectively. This class is designed to understand conflict’s power and to assess the appropriate use of conflict-handling behaviors. As a result, your teams and organization will be stronger by managing conflict in a creative and positive way.

Bridge the Gap – The Multi-Generational Workplace

Our current American workplace is unique. This is the first time in history that we can have five different generations working side by side. When the generations fail to communicate effectively there may be negative ramifications. Conflict and lack of communication may impact turnover rates, tangible costs (such as recruitment, hiring, training, and retention), intangible cost (such as morale), grievances and complaints. Additionally, there may be perceptions of unfairness and inequity. In this class we learn to examine the changing workplace from traditional rules to today’s modern rules, discover the five generations in the workplace and what generation you identify with and develop an action plan to connect to all generations in your workplace.

Five Steps to Successful Delegation

With increasing demands on our time and resources, it’s impossible to achieve all we must accomplish without the help of others. In this class we will explore the reasons why we don’t delegate as often as we should, learn how and when to delegate (even without direct reports), learn a five-step system to make delegation a part of our regular work and utilize our time more productively.

Beyond Customer Satisfaction

One of the most important relationships you have is between you and your customers. Statistics show it costs five to six time more to attract a new external customer than to keep an existing one. Simply put, exceptional customer service results in customer and employee retention which results in higher profits. In this class we will identify your customers; the obvious and unapparent ones, convince your employees of the value of exceptional customer service for external and internal customers and develop a sustainable plan to improve customer service.

IDEAL Problem Solving

The ability to problem solve is a fundamental skill essential in our day-to-day lives. Good problem-solving skills are critical in your professional life and empowers you in your personal life. In our fast-changing global economy, problem solving is also crucial to the success of your organization.
